A new venture set up in the area is fly-fishing on Lough Dan. Check out An Irish Angler World website for more details. Lough Dan is 7 kms from Bramble Rock.

The Glenmacnass River joins the Avonmore River in Laragh, and is a big favourite with canoe enthusiasts.
